Irish Community Conversation on Black Lives Matter

Irish Community Conversation on Black Lives Matter

3-Part Webinar Series

Recently, the Board of Directors of the AIA attended a Zoom meeting, sponsored by the Rian Immigrant Center of Boston upon the occasion of Juneteenth, to hear a number of Massachusetts-based speakers discuss issues of racial equality in this country. That highly successful webinar is being continued by the Center over the upcoming months. The Directors felt it appropriate to make the AIA membership aware of this important discussion.

A follow-up webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 12 pm-1 pm on the subject of "Parenting, Racism and Anti-Racism."

A second webinar, having a date and time yet to be announced, will address "Advancing Anti-Racism in the Workplace."

The third in the series regarding "Anti-Racism in Ireland" will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 1 pm-2 pm.

In all cases, anyone wishing to attend any or all of these virtual Zoom events should RSVP to Mia Smith at msmith@riancenter.org to reserve a spot. A flyer concerning this event is available here.
