Halloween: it started as an Irish tradition

Fun facts from the Irish Consulate in Boston

The Consulate of Ireland in Boston has sent out a fun fact sheet on the “Story of Halloween” and about Ireland as the original home of this spooky holiday, or as it’s known in Gaeilge “Samhain” (pronounced “Saw-win”). Also included are some Irish-themed, designed-for-kids pages for coloring, two crosswords and a wordsearch! Feel free to download below and print for the children in your family!

Thanks to the Consulate in Boston for reminding us that Halloween is a true Irish-American holiday!
