The new event series for the AIA has been set for the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2018!
Events will include thoughts from 3 local poets (Annie Rogers, Rachel Conrad and Íde O’Carroll), some literary and historical items collected over the years by a former judge Mike Ryan, a discussion of Belfast murals by UMASS lecturer Leah Wing and some genealogical research tips by AIA member Tim Goodhind. This series will also see the first presentation of the Margaret Maher Award by Finnoula Quinlan, Ireland's Consul General in Boston.
All events will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 121 North Pleasant St. Our first event will be on Sunday, September 17th. The event is a Irish group dancing session with a caller, known as a "Céilí." The local group "Le Chéile" will provide the music.
