1st event of the 2020-2021 series is uploaded to YouTube
On Sunday, September 27, UMASS-Amherst Professor of English Malcolm Sen presented on "Race in Irish Literature & Culture" via Zoom. The fascinating meeting was recorded and is available for viewing at the following YouTube link:
This year, the AIA Directors made the decision to change the focus of the annual Margaret Maher Award. Instead of sponsoring an essay competition, we will be presenting an award to a community member for achievement in the promotion of Irish culture, arts, heritage and history.
And so, for our next event of this series, to be held via Zoom on October 18th at 2 pm, we will be presenting Rosemary Caine with the first annual Margaret Maher Award. Rosie's long and illustrious professional career has been devoted to music and theater. She has graciously agreed to accept the award.
Prior to that meeting, AIA members will receive an e-mail link to the Zoom session. Members of the public are also welcome to attend. They need simply request the link by e-mailing to email@example.com at least 24 hours prior to the event.
